Supercharger for v6 camaro
Does anybody know if there is a supercharger made for a '99 v6 camaro?

RKsport in California used to sell a 3.8L supercharger made by Powerdyne for the 96-98 F-bodies but they can be adapted to fit on the 99-02 fairly easily with a little modifying. They went for around $3400 with the complete kit but I doubt if they still have any since Powerdyne quit making this specific blower a little while ago.
Honestly though, don't waste your time with the SC. I've seen quite a few V6'ers try it(including an ATI) and the results were very disappointing to say the least. You want to run fast on FI? Use Nitrous. It will be safe if used properly, cheaper to maintain since the blower cars always had problems, and all the fast V6's are using it.
I used to have a 2000 3.8 Camaro, so I have a LOT of knowledge on these cars.
Good luck,

I also checked out superchargers for 98-up v6 camaros that several of my buddies had.
To my knowledge of extensive research... a supercharger was made for 94-97 v6 camaros made by SLP, however they discontinued the item.
According to SLP that supercharger will NOT work on 98-up's. Its been a few years and i forget all the details, but something about the 3.8 changed for 98. This seems to not be well known.
The supercharged 3.8 in the Grad Prix is a low PSI roots style blower (not the usual centerfugle used by racers)Its only adds 40 horsepower and 50 lbs of torque. Of course this application is used in the front wheel drive Grand Prix. I have no idea how difficult it would be to put this in a camaro. Doesn't seem appealing to me.
TO make a long story shorter, I ended up trading that 97 for a 96 Z-28. Which now has a LT-4 383.
Im very happy I ditched the V6. But whatever floats your boat.
I had a 1994 3.4L V6 camaro and there were no blowers for my car, so for $6000 they custom built a Vortech w/ water to air aftercooler for my car.
They are awesome guys and can custom build anything for cheap. Vortech kits with the water to air aftercooler cost $5500 or so retail, so $6000 for a custom job installed and everything is a good deal IMO.
