You did say you know it needs a tune.. Need more information on your setup, i.e., shortblock.. I personally would not keep chancing ruining the shortblock if I do not know what is wrong.. I would bite the bullet and take it to an experienced Mustang tuner.. Someone who could tune your car and tell you exactly what is wrong.. I have learned that not everyones advice is good and it could lead to you spending more money than you have too. Bite the bullet and drop the car off with a tuner.. You will pay out the pocket, but you would have peace of mind that it is working fine and ask for some kind of warranty as well..

this is me, me his friend and member of this site with the f bod He went home where he has a broken computer.
-- But no its an all stock internal motor . He said someone told him he might have blown a head gasket. I told him he would have problems soon. At first he used the t rex in line that came with it and that crap conked out on him. The with the low FP, (25-30#) he got his whole new setup. then it was at 60# before the new injectors and FP regulator...now it starts idles at about 1400 for 15 20 seconds and goes to normal. Then you rev rpms come down and it stalls.
....... f bod almost stock = just about fastest car on road (other than viper which is in the upper 10's digit range,) and a mustang with a blower and no warranty.
---so that some more info

It may be the head gasket though. Does his car have funny lookng oil and does it eat coolant?

I still recommend letting a professional fix the car.. Where is he located..? I live in the Tampa, Florida area and we have a lot of Victims, I mean Fords around.. Ramseys and Ford Speed are pretty good FI shops. I am sure there are more, but he should contact me by email and I will call around if he is in the area..

posting under friends name
I have a 98 gt with a vortech sq-trim(the kit says 6-8# of boost)I had a 255lph intank and 255lph external pump installed, drove it around for a few weeks before i got my 42# injectors, 80mm mass air, and aeromotive f/p regulator. I had all the parts installed yesterday, but the car stalled at every light, and i saw white smoke come out the exaust. I know it needs a tune, but I dont know what the hell to do with this car. I ask other mustang guys what I should do to my car, and they tell me get this get that, and my car still doesnt run(caugh caugh corral.net Thanks guys)
Any help would be very much appreciated, and yes, i do wish i bought an f-body.........never too late.
