Both showed that at 3500 the data points are in the most efficient (78%) range, at 5000 there is only a small drop to 70+%, but at 6500 its pretty close to the choke at an efficiency below 65%. So I'm thinking that the T76 would support 6000 RPM at 10 psi and make somewhere in the neighborhood of 720-750 hp out of a 383. The most efficient boost level (according to the map) appears to be at about 12 psi and looks like it would make about 800+hp on a 383.

. I would think that a 370 would be close to the same thing since it's only about 3% C.I. difference.

If thats the Case then Jose il be giving you a call...... when can we start doing what me and you were talking about????

The most important part about these compressor maps is turbine inlet temp. These compressor maps are developed using 1100dF temps. So if you are running a rear mount the map will shift.

BTW, if you are looking to get really technical I can make a copy of all the data test point we have to use to develop a compressor map. Its WAY more then one would think...hehe

That there is some good poop, Jose! Which way does it shift and about how much for say 600°F instead of 1100? BTW, can you compensate for a left shift with lower A/R's? Gee, I hope that's an intelligent question. lol

Well using a smaller A/R will only help with the spool up. It does not effect though any of the efficiency outputs of the compressor. As for how much it shifts it...well it remains to be seen. Mathematically it could possibly be theoretically shown, but until we do some flow testing (which we are) we won't know the exact amount. We plan to start from 100dF and work our way up to see how much heat actually effects the map shift.

BTW, never be afraid to ask any questions....thats what we are here for
