AND DON'T FORGET TO CHECK OUT A PURGE VALVE. THEY LOOK COOL AS HELL AND SERVE AS AN ADDED PRECAUTION. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

A friend of mine has used a 150 shot for nearly 2 years now. He has changes to ported heads and a nice cam and the nitrous still has not affected the car adversly. Using a bottle of NOS a month(on average) cost $50 dollars a month, $600 a year. So a $1000 initial cost for everything and then $600 a year for refills. If you gage on a supercharger being $6000 for everything to get started. You could use NOS system for about 8 1/2 years to equal the up-front costs of the supercharger. I don't know about anyone else but i don't know what kinda car i will be driving in 2 years, much less 8. Of course this all deoends on how you use it but just think about it.

No comparison. A bottle of Nitrous a month? <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" /> I can get on mine enough to use up 10 bottles a month and not spend a dime on nitrous. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

In my opinion it was a no brainer. I went with the supercharger package. Horsepower on demand.

I think in your situation H/C/I is the best solution... Heads + Cam + Intake and you're at 400rwhp N/A... at this point I'd upgrade the fuel system before using nitrous....

I am going the N2O route on the 422. It was looking like it was going to be too difficult to find a blower that would *reliably* be able to feed my motor. Running around at 700-800 RWHP all the time would also get my heads eventually, as opposed to a few runs at the track (and even rarer street race where I would need it).

Having said that, I love FI, and would ultimately like to go that way. I just don't think the LS1 world has matured enough on these systems yet.
