Is 2 Garret T3's enough for an LS1?
Thanks. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

then look at the maps for the T3's

You'd need no smaller than a T3 super 60 to get the air. And then you'll have very little room for growth if you don't want to get way outta the efficieny of the compressor.
Your better of w/ a pair of T04B's or a T3/T4 hybrid. The hybird gets you internal waste gates. Always nice <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
I called turbonetics and they also recommended a T3 super 60. After I relayed my thought's on the price of that turbo, the tech said that with my low boost requirements (7 psi) there would be very little danger of overboost with 2 T3's. Also they would have to work a bit harder, but they should be fine.
Anyone else? Man, it sucks when someone as knowledgeable as Harlan tells you to get the more expensive turbo. Thanks for the input Harlan.
Just remmember when you "push" the T3 harder you will be in a less efficient area and you will create more heat, heat it bad. Its all about trade-off. You have to look at what boost, flowrate and efficiency you want and go from their.

I've been eyeing a nice pair of water cooled T04B's for a project i have in mind. about 25 lb/min each at 1.7 pressure ratio. Right in the center island with room to grow.
It's all a trade off, cheap turbos and expensive intercooler, or better sized turbos and mid range intercooler. Or big turbos and big intercooler <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
What did you end up doing to the gt2535s you had reworked? Did you do a little machine work on the compressor/turbine housings?
