So would a 50 shot on top of the Magnuson work?

Default So would a 50 shot on top of the Magnuson work?

Since there seems to be no headroom for other than stock CID engines with the Magnuson SC, and due to the fact that the system in not intercooled, wouldn't you be able to get really good gains from say a 50 shot of N20 on top of this SC? Would it be a good idea to run a smaller pulley to get 8lbs with a mostly "cooling" shot of N20?

is this that screw type blower that lingenfelter uses?

i think the best idea would be to use a direct port shot, otherwise i wouldn't trust it going through that thing

It isn't a good idea to run the n20 through the blower. It will undoubtadly (exuse my spelling) make more power that way but will shorten the life of the blower for sure.

Lots of guys with GTP's spray a 50 shot through their blowers with no problems.

So why wouldn't it be a good idea? I'm not talking about a huge shot of N20, just something to cool down the intake charge and negate some of the heat from the blower. Why would the life of the blower be shortened? It wouldn't seem to be causing any more stress to the blower system would it? Wouldn't you actually have less boost pressure in the manifold due to the lower temps? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

would you get a better cooling effect before or after the blower? before you could just shoot it into the air filter box and that would be a dry system, correct? after would have to be into the ducting between the blower and the intake and would be a wet system, correct?

I think you would be fine, and If my tranny could take the TQ abuse I would have a 75 shot on my GTP. just dont run out of fuel

It works fine on my Ford Lightning why wouldn't it work on the Magnason? Using a direct port would undo any intercooler effect the NO2 would have. I would expect to see much more than 50hp from that shot because of the cooling effect..

I guess it'll be ok. I just didn't think it was a good idea to spray n2o on the inlet side of the blower. I'm putting 50 shot on the discharge side of mine. I said I don't know much about n20. Take care. Justin

i am not talking about direct port nos, more like right after the discharge tube on the blower. it seems like it would have more cooling effect blowing into 200deg air than 70deg air and extra fuel would be added there also wich might help to cool some more. if it blown in before the blower as a dry system it would be going into 70deg air and no extra fuel except right at the valve. seems like someone must have tried both set ups
