Default How much boost? 7.25" crank w/3.75" on F1

How much boost should I see with the SDCE 7.250" crank pulley and the 3.750" blower pulley on an F1?

I know it depends a lot on the efficiency of the engine, but can anyone help give me some kind of idea what I will be looking at?

This will be on a iron 408 w/ ET Performance 225 heads

Any help is appreciated.

I guess around 14 to 16 psi.

What pulleys are you running now, and what boost do they make?

Take the ratio of the current pulleys (crank OD / blower OD)=X

Now get the desired ratio: 7.25/3.75=1.93

Now divide X/1.93 and multiply that by however much boost you currently make. That should give you a rough estimate.

Heres an example I did for mine: Stock 6 rib pulleys were 6" crank & 3.75" blower, and my new 8 rib setup has a 7.75" crank & a 4.25" blower pulleys. The stock setup was making about 7# on the car I bought it off of.

So I know that the ratio of the 6 rib was 6/3.75=1.6
The 8 rib ratio is 7.75/4.25=1.82

The ratios of the ratios is 1.82/1.6=1.14

This means I will be making 1.14 times the boost it makes with the 6 rib by using the 8 rib sizes.

1.14x7#=8#

I have not actually proven this method yet, but I should be done installing my system this week, and tune will be sunday, but I'm sure its going to be pretty damn close. Hope this helps you at least a little

I don't have anything right now.. My engine is being finished up now and I was N/A before.

Thanks, this will be good to know in the future.

Well, I don't have one right now either, but if you can find someone with a similar setup engine-wise with a blower, see how much boost they are making, and use their pulley sizes as a go by...
