Default Another cam question.

In about three months I will purchase a Vortech supercharger and i was wondering what would be a decent cam? I want it to idle good with out programing. Would a Z06 cam be the right way to go. I have already have a comp 212/218lsa114, but I am afraid that this with the supercharger will put to much pressure on the bottom end. This will go on a 5.3 with stock internals.
Thank you for any suggestions.

I'd keep the existing 114 Cam installed. Sounds perfect.

Think the bottm end will hold? The 5.3 bottom end should be the same as the 5.7, same rod anyway.

Keep the A/F and Timing tubed right (No KR) of course. I'd run the bottom end as stock and upgrade it only if/when it blows up.

I'd do the timing chain, etc. Watch the springs, normal stuff. TR6 plugs.
