A GN at car craft last year put out 950 RWHP somehow. If you can get that from a V6 then maybe...

I know its possable. If my 122 cubic inch 4 banger can make 500hp, then I think a 400+ ci v8 can make over a 1000. This guy was soooo full of ****. No ls1 has ever made near that power. It had a stock 6 speed tranny.

Where was this Nick? Was it for sure a TT and you are just wondering about the output? Local guy? $200K is a lot to spend even at LPE. With that kind of money you could very easily see 4 digit hp #'s, but if you were going to do it I don't see why you would stick with the LS1 block. You could drop in the C5-R engine for that much with fully built everything. I'd like to see that car myself. Let me know.

Down at the chevy dealer on lomas. Appartently the turbos burnt through some wiring and it had to be repaired. They guy also said its tubbed out, and has n2o. I didn't personally see the car. Some older hispanic guy from Santa Fe. Said he had a twin turbo hennesey viper, but it was too slow, so he got this instead.

I know of a LPE zo6 that has made over 700 rear wheel and has run mid tens at over 140mph with a stock intake. This car is driven 1 hour to the track and raced all day and then driven home.

Default Lingenfelter TT vette

Ran into a guy at the chevy dealer today with a LPE TT vette. Guy had a dyno that said 1080rwhp. He said he spent $200+k at LPE and it run 9.80s and has n2o. We called BS, but no one believed us. I told him there is no way a ls1 motor could make 1080rwhp.

Anyone want to confirm with me that this is complete bullshit? Stock looking intake manifold.

6 speed.

Was just in Las Cruces this weekend driving home from racing in Phoenix.

I goto roswell pretty often, so maybe I'll see you at the track. Would be nice to see an 11 second f-body in NM. No one can do it so far.

Or does not run faster than the ones on the list here. There are even people that post of this board that could be at the top of the "list" who won't tell their goodies cause they race for money. (although this guy does not seem like one.)

What does a stock six speed trany have to do with him making 1000hp. If you are refering to the tranny breaking , I have seen a few Lt1's and mustangs with that kind of power. Some of them have a stock T56. They just take it easy of the line or don't use slicks.

Anyways I have seen a turbocharged Holden/commodore(whatever it's called) make over 1000 at the wheels. They have Ls1 motors (I think).
Plus even if the guy has a stock intake, boost and especially nitrous can make up for the restriction. You just have to run quite a bit more boost/ and or nitrous with a restrictive intake. How you keep the heads on is a different story!
But if you spend 200k im sure you find a head soloution!

I'm not saying THIS guy is lying or telling the truth, but as far as can an ls1 make that power? YES. Basically with enough money. Any motor can.

Plus it's already been done.

Unfortunetly I wont be running 11s anytime soon, probably never. But its good to see other people in NM doing stuff. I have never been to roswell understand its pretty nice and an altitude of only 3600 ft is pretty good for this state. I usually race at Deming or El paso.

for 200K you could make a briggs and stratton lawnmower engine produce 1000hp.

the stock lpe 427tt makes about 700 at the wheels on pump gas. race tune with 6 more psi thats another 100hp there isnt it? and nitrous who knows how big of a shot hes running. for making that kinda power 9.80's sounds pretty damn slow. the "stock" 800hp lpe vette ran 9.20's in motor trend. sounds like a supra lol.
