Default Changing heads, cam, blower set-up

Whats up guys...as some of you may have read I bought this car last week and it's acting up. While getting the problem fixed, I plan on changing the MTI 2E heads to some 6.0L heads or other good heads for FI. I also plan on changing the C1 Hammercam out to a custom grind or any other good cam for boost. Last but not least I want to run more boost!!!! I am running the stock P1SC setup and seeing around 5-6LBS of boost. I want somewhere around 9-11LBS while keeping the P1 for the time being. I'm going to change out the Blower in the coming months but its going to have to wait until I get this engine fixed. Basically, I just want some advice on a good set of heads, a blower cam, and a smaller pulley(SDCE perhaps?). Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!!!

We use Patriots LQ9 heads on many of our applications. We have never had any problems with them and they make good power. Head gaskets and head bolts are included with them. The valvesprings are good for over .600 lift.

The Lingenfelter GT2-3 cam works great for boost, and is an easy cam to tune in. With the P-1SC you have to be very careful with your cam selection, as if you choose a cam with too much overlap, the blower won't be able to make the boost you want to get out of it. I keep it in stock if you choose to go with it.

You most likely have the P-1SC 6 rib set-up, and the best way for you to go for now, since you eventually plan to swap blowers, in my opinion is to just go with a smaller ATI pulley. You will need to get your combo retuned once you swap out the parts. Air/fuel should be at approx 11.5/1, and timing at 18 degrees at wot. Bob

Bob Good info as always..... I am somewhat in the same boat here. Except running a D1 @9psi. As for heads I am leaning towards AFR,s, and with the GT2-3 (which I am going to install!! along with forged pistons and rods). Which due you think would be a better choice 205,s or 225,s. If I am not mistaken are the 205,s are pretty close to the LQ9,s? and perform very well. Can you shed a bit of info on which you think would be a better choice. Looking to keep a good strong torque curve. I think it might be lost with 225,s.? But than again I don't know??
