Default finally broke into the 9's!

well i finally put my pile into the 9's!
last thursday at bahrain international circuit during eliminations , i sprayed a bit after the 60 ft mark and to the 1/8 mile mark and got :

r/t 1.037 ( amazing , huh?)
60' 1.504
330 4.201
1/8 6.344
mph 115.84
1000 8.168
1/4 9.735
mph 142.86

if you were there , you could tell i was HAPPY , but i knew it had more.

so the next round one of the competetors ahead of me had his engine kick the bucket ( and spray all the oil in the bucket all over the lanes) so i had to back off a bit and run without spray, which was a good choice cause i spun as soon as i hit the spot his engine blew at, but i still won.

so in the final round it was me and a sprayed 427 vette, he had lane choice ( cause i didn't go all out last round) and i got stuck in the crappy lane ( which i was assured was clean).
so i spray as soon as i clear the 60' foot and stay on it till just past the 1/8th mile mark where the car starts loosing traction and gets into some sort of tire shake, but i still won! here are the nbers:

here are the results:
r/t 0.688
60' 1.481
330 4.050
1/8 6.161
mph 116.41
1000 7.979
1/4 9.517
mph 145.98

can't wait till the next time , i know i coud get a low ,low 9 or if i'm lucky ( and get my *** moving and tune the car a bit ) get into the 8's!

boosted list here i come!

its a 408 , f1-r and 200 shot,alky inj., all going through a th-400 and 3.42 gears.
the weather was ok, mid to high 80's if i remeber correctly, but it was definatly humid!

now all i have to do is install the roll bar and tune the thing for a change. i know i could squweeze some more out of it. as is it should be in the low 9's cause it lost traction somewhere after the 1/8 mile mark.
i'm hoping really low 9's or maybe in the 8's if iget it tuned for the alky inj. who knows how fast you can make a pile of junk go??

illusional, the track there is world class! everything, and i mean everything is just amazing there. every thing from the facilities, to the safety crew to traction ( tons of it!) was great. its the same facility they hold the F1 races at.

kyle, its 15 dinars to sign up for a race and 5 for test and tunes (10 bahraini dinars for non club members) comes out roughly to $40 to sign up for races and $25 to $14 to test and tune.

as for the cage, the rules they go by state that i need a roll bar if i go 9.99 or quicker , the officals there are just great, they are super nice and just want everyone to have a good time. when i got the 9.7 pass, one of them came up to congratulate me and i was thinking here comes the offial " you're outta here" but instead the guy congratulated me and then asked if i had a cage, i said no , and he said just make sure you have one the next championship round!

gotta love those guys!

i was just running premium 94¬95 octane with a bottle of torco. comes to about $0.90 a gallon ( if my calculations are right)
