Which Headers for Supercharger?
On a stock displacement engine with a mild 218/224 cam and a supercharger running around 8-9 psi of boost, which headers would be the best? MACs? Hooker LT? or 1 7/8" Grots?

All those headers will work great FI <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
I would probably go with Hookers and custom Ypipe or duals.
Second choice MAC's
third and fourth choice (primarily for the raping you take on price) would be grotts/FLPs
Cheers,
Chris

Re: Which Headers for Supercharger?
What if the Grotts were just 150 more than the Hooker LTs? What I'm asking is will the 1 7/8" primary tubes benefit over the 1 3/4" hookers on the proposed application?

Re: Which Headers for Supercharger?
Id think it would help. With the supercharger you get alot more air pressure on the intake side. I'd think you would want to even out the pressure on the exhaust side as much as possible. Isnt this why you go with a higher exhaust duration for a supercharger cam? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

An S/C packs the cylinder with air, but there's no help to get it out. Bigger primary LTs and a cam that heavily crutches the exhaust is going to net BIG gains over those combos that do not use these. Go with the Grots, I have the 1-3/4" coated I bought two years ago and I love them, from installation to everyday use, they're hands-down the best quality!

Re: Which Headers for Supercharger?
One way to look at it is how much hp does the car make. The big engines make around 500hp and do well with 1 7/8" headers. A blower engine will make similar power so it can use the bigger headers.
