Re: how much boost You could probably do 18 psi on 8.0:1 on 92 octane, assuming you have a good intercooler, low overlap cam, and dish shaped pistons (8:1), normal head gaskets and reasonable weather. However 18lbs is what people seem to be able to get with 8.5:1 with a good setup but on smaller motors.

Re: how much boost i am building the motor from scratch, i will be running modified 6.0 heads dished pistons, felpro 1041 head gaskets, stock crank, eagle h-beams, and i will have diamond pistons, and probably pro-gram billet caps, the intercooler will be approx, 26x16x4 by charged air, limited room on an s-10, and arp head studs
