Heard my engine Run TOday Well got home from taking out my brother for his birthday and the phone rang. was my mechanic, guess he came in today to finish up the exhaust. Told me to come by so i can hear it.
Well got there started it up to let it idle. The 224/224-114 cam sounded goooood!
Still leaking coolant from the intake, need to replace a couple small seals so i dint take it out.
My mech, Chuck took it out earlier to go to a shop with some bender to get the exhaust. Gave it a little and it quickly hit 10psi, as they forgot to plug the vacuum line into the wastegate <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
When he was running around without the crossover around towne he said he got a looks cause the turbo whine was loud! said it throw him back into the seat.
All they got to do is Fix the coolant leak and put the new fuel pump in and im good to go.
I better get it back this moday, cause i got to break it in, get it retuned and dynoed then off to Norwalk on Friday <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: Heard my engine Run TOday Damn i know you are anxious! Dude you better be careful....you were running low boost before and now you are stepping up. Watch the fuel pressure and really watch knock till you get it all dialed in. The bottom end may be a little soggy but once boost comes up, the turbo oughta rock!

Re: Heard my engine Run TOday Im keeping it at 5psi for the breakin (tuesday-thrusday) then will get it dynotuned thrusday and see how much boost i can get out of it.

Re: Heard my engine Run TOday I noticed today how you siad full boost by 3000 rpms...then i realised, i do 5 psi by 3000 as well....takes another 500 rpms to get in the other 8 psi. I replaced the maf to tb hose this morning and it seems to be running well again.
