D-1SC Vs. P-1SC!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why do i see alot of people getting the D and just run between 5-8PSI or even 10 since the P gets the same level of boost at lower RPM and keep it that way through the power band longer. Both will reach 30PSI and 32 for the D right? But from what i read, the P gives boost before the D right? Wouldn't the P-1SC be better for a heads/cam car or all bore 382CID car both with lower C/R because u wont be needing more than 14-16PSI right?

The reason is that last year I ran the 3.2 pulley on my p-1sc and it made 7 psi. now I am running the 3.2 pulley on the d-1 and it makes 12 psi. so in reality you can run like a 3.8 pulley and get like 5-7 psi on the d1 and it wont be as tough on your motor. also the d1 flows 1400 cfm compared to only 1200 for the p-1

Re: D-1SC Vs. P-1SC!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The D1-SC Has A Helicut Impellar With Curved Blades Versus The P1-SC Has An Cheaper Impellar With Straight Cut Blades. The D1-SC Is A Better Choice For The LS-1 Especialy If You Ever Plan On Doing Any Other Mods. The Curved Impeller Pulls Air In Faster Which Means The Boost Will Come On A Little More Agressively Plus Its Efficency Is Better. This Means That The Horse Power Per Pound Of Boost Will Be Higher Than The P1-SC, On A Higher Horse Power Motor. Although You Can Order A P1-SCH (The H Means It Will Come with The Same Type Of Impeller That The D1-SC Has). The Other Advantage In The D1-SC Is That It Will Give You More Room To Grow As Your Modifications Increase. (D1-SC 1400CFM, P1-SC 1200CFM) Almost All The LS-1 Cars We Do At My Shop Are With The D1-SC Except Those Who Are Needing An EPA Number.
