Default 515rwhp and 540rwtq from PTK kit

Well I ran the car on the rollers at A&A Corvette Saturday. The car put down 515 horse and 540 torque on 91 octane and a conservative tune. The AFR floats floats between 10.5 to one and 11 to one and the timing is around 15 or 16.... I can't remember. The boost guage just creeps past the 8 pound mark, but doesn't hit the 9 pound mark. so I guess this is 8.5 pounds of boost The car has a 7 pound spring in the gate so I am not sure if the 8 psi on the guage in the car is correct. I might look into mounting the vacuum line closer to the intake or off the brake booster line

The car has stock 6.0 untouched heads, stock 6.0 valves and a stock 197/207 duration, .495/.492 lift on a 119 seperation cam. I had the cam checked before I put it in because I bought it used. The compression ratio with the pistons and the 6.0 heads on the car is 9 to 1 maybe a little less. I have good pistons and rods in the motor with some standard ARP main studs and new comp 918 springs. Stock displacement with 6.0 GM MLS gaskets.

I wanted a little more power out of it but felt this is a good starting point. The car pulls really good and is a blast to I haven't decided if I will up the boost and meth the car or change the cam.....hmmm or do both I feel there is possibly a little more left in the car with a tighter AFR, but on 91 octane tuning it is a little more difficult.

I will try and get the graph posted by the weekend. The car makes 500 horse at exactly 5000 rpm and holds until 6100 rpm. I have 500 rwtq at 3800 rpm and peaks at 540rwtq at 4100 rpm then it holds 500 tq until 5400 rpm. I plan to enjoy the car for a few months before I lean on it a little harder

Anyways, I have to thank EVERYONE on this site. This car would not be running today without the help from the members of this board. Special thanks to Charlie from Andys Auto for coming out to my home and flashing the ECU so I could drive the car out to them. Thanks to PTK for a good kit and Jose for the parts at a good price. Thanks also to Slowhawk (Don) and frcefed98 (Jeremy) as well as many others.

Glenn

HA!

Wait for me... I'll be joining you fellas in due time...

Man, every time you post that picture of your Vette with the hood up, I pound the computer desk and say, "Dayum! Whoooa! *loud exhale*." My wife comes in and says, "everything okay?" You keep doing that and she's gonna think I'm .

The majority of parts were shipped from PTK early this week, and they should be in my hands tomorrow according to UPS's tracking info.

UPS...

I watched one guy once from my window get off the UPS truck (I was watching because I was waiting for my Loudmouth) and walk toward my door with a sticker in his hand. I was like WTF?

Watching through the door's peephole, I opened the door at the same time he was going to adhere the sticker to my door, and he freaked out. I said, "Hey! How are you! Something for me?" He said, "Yeah, I knocked once and.." I cut him off and said, "Funny... I didn't hear a knock..." He said, "Oh... Okay, uh... please help me with your item, it's heavy."

I said, "Sure," and went and grabbed the box by myself. It wasn't heavy at all.

He was about to pull a fast one on me 'cause the box was too heavy for his weak ***!

These are the UPS guys I got in my area. Yeah, tracking numbers are VERY important to me.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

socalstreetracer..yes our numbers look almost the same. your setup looks like it is running well

Frost..Cool, what kit are you going to run??

Tiago...I agree, and I thought about the same thing today, but I am worried about pushing the heads off with such a low powerband. I know most people don't have a problem but we are talking about ME here

30th t/a..thanks man...I plan on it

bboyferal...hang in there man the stuff will be there soon

frcefed98...the breathers got here today...THANKS MAN!!

BTW...where do you guys run your boost guage off of??? Is there a better source then the small vacuum line off the back of the intake. I run my BOV and WG off the same line.

Thanks again,
Glenn
