Benefits of a cam??

Benefits of a cam?? Anyone want to explain to me the benefits of adding a cam to my current setup (If there are any). It sounds like a good idea, but I'm sure what to expect from the addition. Does it even make sense to just do a cam now or should I wait and do more later?
Also, any opinions of what cam I should look at. My car isn't street driven much anymore, so something agressive would be nice.

Re: Benefits of a cam?? I think a nice set of ported low compression heads would be a nice addition <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> 6.0L heads would work out great!
