I hear the brake booster is the most accurate place for boost readings.

Re: boost guage Mine is in the line in the vacuum line coming off of the back of the intake manifold. I teed into it with a plastic and a rubber connector 1/4 on one end so the nylon line just slid right in no problems at all and does not slide out either.
Just make sure if you put it there put it before the check valve not after it.
