Default Uh Oh... My house is a mess now!

Yeah, I'm in trouble when my wife gets home.

I got, as I was informed by Dalton I would be getting today, my awaited and precious PTK kit!

I am missing the new Alternator bolt kit and relocation bracket, but I have the new alternator. I am also missing the .96 A/R housing for the turbo, but I got so much **** I don't know what to do with or where to put it all away!

PTK will be letting me know when they send the rest, which will be shortly.

I wanted to share some pics with you guys of what my home looks like right now...

First, check out these pretty headers. They're ******* gorgeous ! Pics do not do PTK's headers justice:

This is the TurbosSmart 38mm Wastegate and Air Filter:

Two new radiator fans:

The intercooler, which I was always worried about, but it's just the right size to retain foglights like I wanted. So, I just have to do the plate cut-out mod and then use either of my TWO front plate covers. My original one with the bird, and a spare I bought which will be cut and look like a grill with a mesh insert to protect the IC. My Trans Am front will take no compromise!!! It will still be able to look stock with no missing foglights and stuff...

This is the big mess in the living room :

And this is what my wife puts up with. This is our guest bathroom. We've gotten into arguments and I've been a dick sometimes, but she has been great. The bathroom has been like this for over a month, now. HA, remember, this is the bathroom with the least amount of car junk, the nicer one! :

I was getting home to replace my AC filter, and the UPS guy saw that I saw him. There was no getting away from me, like they do sometimes when they don't want to carry boxes. I decided to change the AC Filter later and instead use the filter now as a giant coaster for the beers I would be having tonight to celebrate. Only the finest American beer would be adequate for this sort of commemoration:

Thanks to all of the COURTEOUS people who have been watching my back and pming me and stuff when I needed help. I wish I could say that was everyone...

Well, now I just need the MPT-70, Manual Boost Controller, Fuel Pump, and Fuel Injectors, which Jose will be sending me soon.

I've said it before, I'm getting REALLY excited about my car again!

These ricers around here are gonna have to take my MRM 'vert a little bit more seriously, now!

Thanks again guys for the great discussions, the chance for me to make a more informed decision. I'm looking forward to the near future.

Darren, I owe you some big thanks!

I'd hate for you to spend some more time informing me... Whenever it is you have some free time, PM the pics, man. I will take them, absolutely. Thanks again!

I remember now you mentioned some alternator issues that were a very minor PITA.

I know you're having fun, though. Soon, I'll join you soon.

I just need some more odds and ends that I'm still missing. Dalton has always been very honest with me. Sometimes he told me what I liked hearing, many times he told me things I didn't like hearing. However, he always told me what I WANTED to hear: Accuracy. I like that about him.

What did you end up tuning yours to?

NASTY TA: Thanks, bro.

Brad8266: Yeah, you should see how many beers are on it now. I might need another AC Filter.

They are being complimented by a big jug of Mississippi Mud, too.

What did you end up tuning yours to?
it lost fuel pressure at 4000 RPM and we had to abort
but on that run it made 434 HP and 525 TQ at around 6.5 Pounds of boost
it had trash in the fuel filter from the bad hose in the tank
hope to try again tomorrow
I will send you some Photos soon
and a list of what I did to make the altenator (sp?) brackets work

oh BTW Rubber fuel injection hose will not work in the tank

I think it is safe to say that most of our homes are probably looking the same. My room has boxes, metal, you name it stacked up. And my shed is packed to the gills with stock parts, guitar speaker cabinets, and my tool chests (I dont have a garage). But unfortunately a lot of us have limited cash on hand so this **** takes time. But it'll all be worth it in the end!

Congrats on the delivery

Good luck
Andy

Very cool man, glad you finally got your kit! I'm just a few hours from you here in tampa and my turbo kit should be here in December from Hi-Flo, I can't wait!

You're already a few steps ahead of me, but I'm catching up, def. let me know if you plan on bringing her up this way!

LSONE: Brother, that's EXACTLY where I'm going for the install... Revextreme. You'll know.

Ulysses: On rear end, gauges, valve springs, turbo kit, fuel stuff, brakes, pushrods, spark plugs, suspension stuff, clutch/flywheel... Over 10 g's
Nothing installed yet! There's still more money to be spent!

White lightning: Yeah, it sucks not having a garage! I'm surrounded by car **** in my little apartment!

Frost: Yeah, so you can pile more **** than me. That is an advantage. I thought I'd be installing by now, but I'm still waiting on the .96 housing, the TURBO, the Fuel stuff, boost controller, and some alternator parts. The SECOND I get my hands on this soon, I'm doing the install ASAP!

Wet 1 & Kbracing: Ha! When I'm really sleepy, I ALMOST think it IS the ******* sometimes... until I start noticing its blacker color!

I got the majority of parts fomr PTK. That is a good thing, yes. Almost there...

As long as you dont rebuilt a trans in the bathtub you should be OK. My wife, as great as she is, would probably bitch about the tires in the bathroom though LOL.

Very cool! Is Jeremy tuning your car aswell? I've got a garage so I'm going to do it all myself, but he's gonna be working his magic on my car.

Also, are you keeping stock internals, or getting a forged block? doing heads/cam?

KP: Ha! If I did that in the bathtub, I'd be booted out for sure!

LSONE: I've been speaking with Dino. He'll be taking care of my car. There's a rear end over there actually waiting for me, so that's why I'm in a hurry. I don't want to **** Dino off. He's been super-cool so far, but I don't want to abuse. His shop is not for the storage of idiot's car parts, I'm sure.

Yeah, stock internals for now. I ran out of money. You know, I think I'll always stick with the stock heads and maybe a LS6 cam down the road. I really will do the oil pump, rods, pistons, etc. and up the boost down the road, but for now I'm stuck with the stock pistons and rods. It was either going forged or getting the rear end and clutch/flywheel. I wouldn't have been able to do much with a badass forged set-up and high boost with the stock clutch and rear end. Well, I'd certainly be able to do very little than with stock internals, lower boost (~480 rwhp), and a drivetrain that could take it for a while, at least until another year or two when I have enough for the internals. I could have some ~500 rwhp fun in the meantime.

From what I've heard, Jeremy will SERIOUSLY work magic on your car.

yeah, Jeremy's great. If you need to get the rear outta there I could hold it for you, I can think of the perfect spot in between my rear tires Actually I'm pretty much on the same boat you are. I've got my kit ordered, getting fuel next week, then some stock 6.0L heads and a nice cam, clutch, then rear. Hopefully next year I'll have a nice new block.
