Got the vid's up

MPEG's are a bit big but I like the better quality. Windows media for the bandwidth limited.

http://harlan.sketchy.net/hawk/video/10.DOH.mpg
http://harlan.sketchy.net/hawk/video/10.DOH.wmv

http://harlan.sketchy.net/hawk/video/10.03.mpg
http://harlan.sketchy.net/hawk/video/10.03.wmv

It was running 108/109 in the 1/8th with ~6.4X ET's

Car is 3600 with me in it now. Full interior minus back seats. Still got the airbags and radio, no AC.

The details on the setup, as I've been pretty quiet on it till now. And busier than **** to get on the net.

motor:
Stock block, 10 over hone for the pistons (348 cu in)
Stock crank
JE pistons, inverted dome for ~8.75:1 CR with my heads
6.0L heads, ported by Modern Cylinder Head in Michigan
Comp Cam, 228/224 .537/.534 112 LSA 4° ground in, straight up
Stock rockers, Comp 918 springs
Crower 6.125" Billet rods
GM Main and cam bearings, Clevite Rod bearings
Total Seal Plasma Moly rings, 1/16 1/16 3/16
Stock main caps, with studs
Head studs and GM 6.0L MLS gaskets
LS6 manifold, stock TB

Fuel system:
96 lb/hr injectors using my own Lo-Z driver box and the stock PCM
Aeromotive Pro-Stock pump and regulator(silver ones)
Aeromotive 5.0L mustang fuel rails, custom brackets
Sumped 98 steel fuel tank, dual -8 pickups to -12 pump inlet
-10 feed and return to front
dual -8 feed and return to the rails

Drivetrain and susp:
Stock T56
Bastard Clutch: RAM 402 plate and RAM flyhweel w/ Mcleod Rev-Lok II iron disc
Mcleod Master, GM slave
3" Chromoly DS
DTS 12 bolt w/ 3.73 gears
Hal's front and rear, 3 in the back 6 in the front
Hal springs up front, stock rear
Right rear airbag 18 psi
BMR extreme sway bar
Hoosier 28x10x15 Drags (true 10" tire )

Induction:
Stage 1 Incon turbos (GT2535's) basically a t25 exhaust and T04B compressor
Incon cast manifolds
Incon silcone ducting
Custom FMIC, dual 2 1/2" inlets, single 4" out
Pro-M Univer MAF 3.5" ID, cal'd to max at 1200 g/s at 12 kHz
Pro-M voltage to frequecy converter for MAF
The dyno curves aren't super pretty, as we're still chasing an upper RPM miss. The smoothed curves drop way off before the power peak, but the actual trace data peaks around 700 RWHP and 715 RWTQ. That's on straight 110, 15 psig, with 25° at peak torque and 32° at peak power. TR6 plugs at .028, stock coils, custom MSD wires for the relocated coil packs.

Idle quality is actually really good w/ the big injectors and the cam. Hard to tell with the lope though

Tuning is done at Detroit Speedworks, Greg and Phil have been great through the whole build up. Have definatley gone out of their way to get things right w/ the car. Especially w/ the R&R on the first motor. They know their ****

Have to mention Stenod Racing as well. The pit crew has been there every step of the way Especially on the long haul to the shootout, and the all nighter rebuild 2 weeks ago to get the car up and running again.

Season ain't over yet, Norwalk has 2 more TnT nights in november. So watch out for a 9 second pass soon (harlan knocks on wood)

New sig

Brady- Joe here! you know the one who got you the ticket down at woodward

Just got a ride in the turbohawk, had to post right away,

THAT CAR IS JUST PLAIN SICK!!!! you know a car is crazy fast when you are following a truck, and when he gets on the loud pedal, i saw his lights at the VERY TOP OF IT!!!! That car pulls so hard through all the gears, I almost **** myself!1 MANY TIMES!! I have been around speed my entire life, **** i drove a 125mph race boat for 4 years, rode many 9 second snowmobiles, and even drive a 26foot 636 cubic inch big block offshore boat that had top speeds of well over 119mph. Harlan's car Ranks #1 of the most entertaining to ride in. ******* mean.

Now my measly 10 pounds of boost feels slow as ****, "damn you harlan " You cost me more money in the long run, sometimes i wish I never met you!!!!

MORE BOOST!!! MORE BOOST!!!!

and, thanks for the ride harlan. I have to go change my underware now.

(sorry, i am still wound up from my trip)

Yeah Harlan is a good guy. I like the fact that he made a kick *** shift light, knows what hes doing, and drives an F-body.

I actually think that down the road were gonna see "Harlan" products ie hooker, edelbrock, sphon, etc and all of us are gonna be like I remember that guy!

I was wondering if he was the guy on www.racingflix.com who ran a couple bikes in his TA. I know hes running INCON and at the end of the vid they note that the bikes were GSXR 1000s. To run with a bike like that you would have to trap at 140+.

He also has a degree in engineering I think. Cant wait to get mine, aviation side of the house though.

Harlan does the Tuning himself, but he uses Detroits speedworks mustang dyno to tune. I and a few others here had our cars tuned by Greg at DSI. He knows his stuff good too, he'll get it done for you.

On the MAF there was a post here earlier on how he was using a prototype MAF, thats all i know about that.

That is one *** hauling F'er. Things like this make me reflect back on my youthful days growing up in Michigan, the snow, every city having it's own fruit or vegetable festival, the BADAZZ cars and the snow that stops those cars. I guess that is an advantage to living in Hawaii now, race season is only closed Monday thru Thursday- . If you guys ever get the itch to race reeeeaaaaalllllllyyyyyyyyy bad, ship em down here and we'll race, not that I'm encouraging you to come down here to smoke me, just meet ya'll and race race race. Again, thats some nice times, nice rides and from the sounds nice people. Good-luck in the pursuit for 9's.

Charlie.

He does his own tuning but on gregs dyno. And his Maf is not realy "prototype" but is a custom piece that anyone can have made, 4" opening!! The reason I whent to Detroit Speedworks is because of harlen's car but I am not near that fast. My car is still at DSW. But should dyno soon.

I think hes got Rob Raymers camaro beat, unless Rob can get it done better then ever.
Just .041 seconds away from the fastest Forced induction LS1

Makes me get motivated to get my 9" so i can run some good times. (mental note: need more money, maybe i can start selling shift lights and 2steps...hmmm...)

not to take anything away from harlan but robs new set will run an 8.. if he ever gets it to the track. he is also still .06 ahead not .004.

harlan does have his mphy blown away though for sure. i'd hate to see him do it, but it would sure scoot with an auto in there.

Harlan, sounds like you have a real nice combo.
How did you sneak up on 32' timing?
Did the motor just continue to build power as you added advance?
I have always thought forced induction motors love timing as long as you have the octane. But until this point most everybody has been running very low timing with the ls1.

Do you know what A-f ratio your running?

Harlan you are one bad ****! Videos are great with great quality. 35mph increase on the top end has got to feel unbelievable....I bet the car still FEELS unbelieveably fast to you. Kudos on all your work and research.....you must be grinning like a jackass eating briars
