Fuel pressure dropping??
Does this sound normal?? Thanks.

I'm not an M6, I'm an A4. But, if I go WOT, there is a brief point where the fuel pressure drops to about 40, then slams back to 56 throughout WOT for me.
But, another thing I notice... if I go half-throttle, the pressure drops to about 40 PSI. Maybe you are in that state when you shift an M6. I'm not sure WHY the pressure is not up at that point. Not having a Fuel Pressure Guage on before the SC install limits my knowledge of what happens under "normal" conditions. But, it appears Fuel Pressure drops off at part throttle and maybe there's some relation to the flow of fuel and the partial or complete demand for it.
Heck! I don't know! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
Somebody with real knowledge of our fuel systems, help us out here!
neither of you are hearing audible pinging?
maybe your computer tunes are offset for this, but you really need he fuel pressure to Rise with boost, so the delta pressure is the same, every pound of boost you have in the intake pushes 1psi of fuel from going into the engine.
you will have to tune very rich to overcome this.
it could also be a sign of not enough fuel flow (pump)
