Picked up my new D1SC
Picked up my new D1SC After opening the box and browsing through the contents, I noticed that the pulley was the 5#(4.0), and not the 8#(3.2). I ordered the 8#, with my kit.
Has this happened to anyone else?, and is it just as simple as removing one and bolting on another? Thanks in advance........Angelo

Re: Picked up my new D1SC Where did you order it from? I would call them and have them send you the correct one ASAP, tell them you want it shipped next day sense they screwed it up.
It's very easy to change out, I just tapped out the clip and used a crank pulley puller to remove the old one.

Re: Picked up my new D1SC Thanks. I got it from Speed Inc. This falls on ATI. I was just curious if this is common with them. They will be checking on this in the morning and giving me a call. I hope I can get the new pulley asap and get this car together before the weather goes to hell. Angelo

Re: Picked up my new D1SC That's how mine was shipped too. Called ati and they said the 4" sc pulley makes 8psi on the d1sc unit. Make sure the number etched on the pulley itself says 4.00

Re: Picked up my new D1SC It actually says 4.10 stamped on the pulley. The problem is, the stamp is on the side facing the compressor, so it is hidden. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />
The 4.10" pulley hasn't made 8 PSI of boost for ANYBODY I know. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
I got 5 PSI out of it at 6000 RPMs.
If you want to change it, use a puller to press it off. To put the other pulley back on, put the pulley in the oven (yes, that's what I said) for five minutes at about 350 degrees.
After it is heated up, holding it with pliers, place it on the shaft (with the little pin in place on the shaft) and tap it on. It will easily slide on.

Re: Picked up my new D1SC I just finished ordering my 9psi pulley from Dorian @ati he said I had the 3.4 pulley which would net me 7psi. He is right I am running 7psi with this pulley on the D1-SC.
He is sending me the 3.2in pulley for 9psi.
I will have it in two days. I hope this small difference nets me those 2 extra psi.
I guess I get smaller pullies because I am at 5500ft above sea level? Makes sense.
