Say good night to the bad guy..... Just wanted to thank all of the guys who have offered help and advice when I needed it. I'm having to sell my baby and it really sucks. I was a great time, but all good things have to come to an end. A big thanks to Kyle and frcefed98 for all the blower help. Of course Gomer, he made my dream come to life

Well it's a sad day to see another leave the ranks, good luck on what you chose to do.
On a side note, i've seen my fair share of buddies sell their cars because of the conflicts they start with the lil woman. I really can't understand why certain women feel the need to try and control certain aspects of their mans life, why be jealous or insecure of how a man spends his time doing his hobby? Its a car, its a hobby, better to be spending the time under the hood of the car and not under the skirt of another woman.
Glad i'm one of the few to be lucky enough to have a great woman that loves firebirds more than me, she just about died and went to heaven when we got her a 99 V6 bird to mosey around in.

My wife is not the only reason > she has been pretty supportive for the most part. There are just other things in life > I also have 3 kids and a BIG picture to think of.

Put it away until you have put your kids through college, have the retirement nest-egg in the bank, and the wife is convinced you really mean it when you say there will be other cars but no other women.
(This takes about 30 years).
Now, in my late 50s and really addicted:
Very civilized '02 Z06 with C5R 427 and Procharger
Very nasty, anti-social '98 Camaro with a built FE 408 and lots nitrous
Very new 05 Porsche Carrera that is stock (so far)

2 years later I still have my cars and a awesome new girlfriend that loves cars....hehe.

You will be happy with your choice in life i almost got rid of mine for my now X but i belive a man should do what makes him happy so i kept my car and dump her because if she really love me she would have understood my passion for fast cars she never had to worry about me cheating on her IF ENZOS HAD VAGINAS !!!! but to the point all the **** up jokes to the side i dont have any kids when my parents split up my dad put me on to fast cars somthing he loved it kept me out of the streets and made me the person i am to day ASE trained and working a degree in computer programming and a SSG the US ARMY focous on your family and you will reap the rewards
I love my wife and she has made the biggest sacrifice > dealing with me. This is not the end of my love for speed and cars > just the ending of a chapter. Maybe the begining part of why I'm selling my car was a bit misunderstood > my wife has never told me that I had to sell my car or that it was her or the car > in fact I made her drive a 98 monte carlo for almost 3 years while I had the bad *** ride. That was not fair and I would be pissed if she asked me to do the same. She also puts up with me working with some of the most HOTTEST girls > and is very trusting and understanding. I travel with girls in situations that would make most women want to kill thier husbands! My wife and kids will always come first and no one has asked me to do this > it is just the right thing right now.
Your making the right choice. I have a wife and kids. It's not easy, if you don't have a wife or kids it would be hard to understand. The cars cost alot of money, if I cauldn't pay cash for my hobby I wouldn't do it. Puting a money strain on the family for a car isn't worth it. Good luck. Andy.
Sorry to hear... But it sounds to me that your values are set right and you are making the best decision for you and your family. If its ment to be, it will come again... no sweat bro.. This is just an excuse to start again with a new toy down the road... or at very least... sweet memorys that last forever.
