Default How much will my cam hurt me ???

Currently I'm running an MTI "X1" cam..

230/227 .591/.571 112lsa...

I plan on putting a D-1SC on top of this....

How much will that effect me...

I really don't plan on changing cams again until I build up the bottom end...

Thanks,
Bos

The 112LSA is definitely not going to help. And I'm not sure it's been show that reverse split patterns (esp. that high) help blown applications in our cars. I think Harlan is running a reverse split pattern in his Turbo'd car, though. Maybe check with him on this.

i dont think it will be to bad, your drivablity will be the same as it is now, if it doesnt bother you. In supercharged applications most people prefer the exahaust dur. to be larger then the intake, and the lsa a little higher for drivabilty issues. and peak power down lower near the chargers efficancy range.

try it with it first then if you dont like it replace it.

Yea, I'm not too worried about driveability...as long as it doesn't get too bad...I guess I will see how it does then... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

That is pretty big, you want to get rid of any overlap when the exhaust valve is open at the same time intake valve, the pressurized air then escapes out the exhaust valve.

We will see how it goes, after I pay off the blower I will most likely build up the bottom end and do a blower cam, probably similar to what I got now, but with a little higher LSA...
