Anyone run a filter off the valve cover...

Anyone run a filter off the valve cover... ... and block off the TB line instead of using a check valve? My McMaster-Carr check valve took a dump and my car is NOT a high boost car.
I know the 5.0L guys do it that way with no side effects... how about the LS1's?
I can smell the oil burning from blow-by when the crank case gets boosted.

Re: Anyone run a filter off the valve cover... yes you can definitely do this.. though your oil will become contaminated with exhaust deposits faster.. and some may drip/mist out of the filter onto the valvecover/headers with is a neusance(Sp?)

I'm sure I have the vaccuum lines right but to be safe I'll just re-check them sometime. Does anyone else have other solutions to this problem?
