Going to order D-1SC tomorrow, help with the checklist...
if all your useable airflow peaks @ .570...you only need a cam with lift to about .550 or so
As long as you have good cylinder heads, the power will be there. For instance...i have a hydraulic FLAT TAPPET cam in my turbo motor
it has 232/232 duration. But to have the lift i need (.515) i needed something with more duration because of the flat tappet nature. If i had a roller i could use the same lift (if not even more) and run less duration cuz of the roller design
I will most likely go with that cam I picked out of the ones jim listed...
I would rather go off of MTI's S2 flow #'s then to actually have my heads flowed...

But, TTT on this cam topic please...
Thanks

I think that should perform well, I was going to go with the one over 220 duration, but after talking with a few people I was told to stay under that...
So we will see what happens..

Jim, would there be any advantage to running any degree of advance, and would you be able to use X-ER lobes with this setup, or is that too aggressive?

Well, the ICL on the cam you chose is 112. That's what I would go with.
You could go with X-ER lobes, but I don't like them.
I would personally go with a Cam Motion grind over Comp anyway.
Thanks..
What's the main difference between Cam Motion and Comp?
I guess other than being different companys, I agree with alot more of the things that Cam Motion does.
Just my personal preference.

made over 600rwhp on Z06 in vette magazine with a d-1sc heads and cam. Its a CNC cylinder heads grind, but I think Tbyrne has something almost identical. Also peak power was at 5700rpm.
I can't wait to see what happens with this setup, anyone have and guesses as to what kind of power increase I will see here?
