Cog System for Procharger?
Cog System for Procharger? I was busy taking my motor apart last night when there was a mishap with the balancer.
Basically, I need a new balancer.
Rather than purchase a balancer and then the blower balancer attachment, is there anybody that just makes a single unit.
For example, is there a cog system out there in which the balancer is a single unit that will drive engine accessories as well as the blower?

Re: Cog System for Procharger? Well, to help anybody else out that has answered this question.
Here are the viable options that I was able to find.
LS1 Speed: $1500 They make a cog system for high boost (~15 psi) applications that fits to a Super Damper balancer. Sounds like a pretty clean setup, but the "1" in front of the price isn't a typo.
ATI: ~$900 They make a corvette cog system in which the balancer is the cog. This sounds like a very clean setup, but it gets a little $ when you have to convert all the other pully's to cog (power steering etc...) Additionally, you have to move the blower back to be inline with the accessories. This sounds like the best option out there for an F-bod. You have to do a little customization, but thats where all the fun is. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Additionally, you don't have 50 belts under your hood slipping and requiring your attention.

Re: Cog System for Procharger? The set-up we have on our car is very pricey, mainly because none of the pullies are mass-produced, and the SFI balancer alone is $527.
ASP can make the 2 pullies w/idler for about $700, the bad thing is that they will only make them to order, and they take roughly 8-10 weeks.

Re: Cog System for Procharger? Tom is right. I had some pullies made by ASP when I had a vortech on my car and it took about 6 weeks to get mine which was fast, but it still sucked waiting so long.
