Default C5 Twin Turbo System

After over 1 1/2 years of dealing with bad casting companies and finally a good local one we now have the exhaust manifold castings for the C5 twin turbo kit. We will be offering two systems designed to net 450 and 550 rwhp. The system will ship complete with fuel system and programing upgrades. We are in the final stages of installation and fitting. We should have the car back on the dyno towards weeks end. The turbos we are using are custom built T-28 with larger compressor wheels installed. These turbos will support up to 700 fwhp. We will also offering a ball bearing option. The turbos are mounted low but high enought not to require any pumps to return oil. The intercoolers are front mounted. We will try to have photos of the system posted on our website by Friday. All the ducting including manifolds will be coated. One other the price we be affordable!!

Would be nice to see a new manifold for the LT1 cars to support more power from your exsisting kit.... The turbo market for the LT1 is still very slim and their is lots of interest for turbocharging.

Sounds great! This is of course not the same as the CAS kit, correct? Will make a post over at Corvette Forum. They'll be happy to have another option!

I'm thinking of getting an 02 C5. How much do you think the whole kit will cost. I'm looking for 600RWHP. If the price is right i'll take one as well as a couple of guys i know. Post a price tag ASAP please.

Looks great! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Will the kit support external wastegates? What about a little larger turbo to support close to 800RWHP (assuming I have a fully built motor.)

I believe that these turbos are standard Garrett T28s which have the same mounting/bolt pattern as the Mitsubishi 16/20g turbos. If this is the case we might have a bad aruse kit in the works. 2 - 20g's should flow 1300cfm at 15psi or so and spool like a ****.

We have not finalizied the pricing as of yet. The turbos are upgraded T-28's manufactured by TEC in Bolder Co. They will support over 700 fwhp, however that is not are goal. We will be offering two systems 450 and 550 rwhp. The wastegates are fully adjustable dual port internal swing arm style. As you all know to go much past 450 to 500 rwhp needs serious engine upgrades. We should have our C5 progress page ugraded on our website tonight. www.turbotechnologyinc.com or we can be reached at turbo@wa.net

Will you be coming out with an f-body TT kit?

Isn't TEC in Golden, CO? Unless they recently moved to Boulder or this is another company we are talking about?

I live around here thus I was asking. Kind of cool when shops around here are doing work with other companies such as Turbo Tech.

Ya, the kit looks really nice.
The dual intercoolers will go where the brake air ducts are on each side. Some of the road racing guys would prefer to see those areas left alone and like kits with a larger single intercooler in the radiator area. If that became an option, that'd be awesome!

I like the design.

So Hypothetically speaking... Will the manifolds be covered by a warranty if lets say they crack? NOT saying that these manifolds will or not. I am just curious.

The look different. A bit shorter and mount differently than the ATI's at an angle.
