Default your opinion on this cam

Thinking about this one. Has more exhaust duration than my 218 cam.

Thunder Racing Custom Split Pattern Camshaft for Nitrous/Supercharger applications-

224/227 .563/.569 114 LSA (This cam will check in the 226 range on the exhaust lobe.) 2200-6800 RPM Power Band. Excellent mid-range & high RPM power. Automatic cars require computer tuning and it is recommend for optimum results on manual transmission cars. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended.

Is this too much? I can't seam to find other cams with more exhaust duration. I'm running a 6.0 forged block and going with TEA 6.0 heads 2.05/1.60 running a D1SC and a M6 tranny.

If anyone has more suggestions on another cam, I'd love to hear it.

Thanks in advance! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Betcha that's getting close to having some overlap. I'd keep the duration down a bit more.

I'd like to get the most top end power out of my setup but still have it streetable. A lopey idle wouldn't bother me.

Thanks for the replies!

Anyone else have some input on this cam?

I just talked to Paul at Thunder Racing and he said with a 375ci (4.060 bore, stock stroke), this cam should idle and drive decent. He actually suggested a bigger cam : 228/232 588/595 114LSA but I think thats a little too much. I think I might get the 224/227 cam tomorrow unless someone knows of a better cam.

I also read here at ls1tech that a 116 LSA would be better since it will hold boost longer in the cylinders. Any thoughts on that?
