For those of you thinking of running water injection...
"The water injector is not a very interesting device. It has little place in a properly conceived turbo system. Two circumstances are viable for a water injector: a 1970 home-built Vega turbo with a draw through carb, or a Roots supercharger sitting between a huge engine and two huger (really big) carbuerators. To stake the margin of saftey of a turbocharged engine on an inherently unreliable device is an idea whose time has lang sice passed. RIP.
RULE: A water injector on a turbo car is a poor excuse band-aid for not doing the job correctly the first time."
I just thought this was appropriate since everyone is talking about water injection. It just seems like too much of a hassle to add more moving and perhaps unreliable (and engine damaging) components to an engine... The occasional spray of water into the engine is fine to break up carbon, but I dont believe it should be used regularly..
Corky does state however that a mist sprayed onto the intercooler may provide somewhere of 5%-10% more HP..
Obviously he did not know that much of water/alk injection so in his ignorance he played it off.
Ask anyone who used it correctly how well it works and the power they recieve from it. True it should not be used as a bandaid for bad tuning, you should get your tune down right then add it to get even more power out of your system.
If the Gn guys heard that they'd just laugh
Dont believe every thing you read. Even if it was said by the famous Corkey bell.

We here on earth have to contend with the reality of camel pee for gas, and therefore are interested in the ability to support mandatory MO' BOOST.

After running 11.80s@116+ in my 3800lb GN, in full street trim, and with 93oct........ you can bet I'm a believer!! And when I get around to turbocharging my SS, you can bet I'll add alky injection after I get all of the bugs worked out of the initial system. Alky injection is only a mistake if you're throwing it on top of a combination that isn't correct to begin with.
