You are actually building the setup I wanted, but I ran into some family issues and funds had to help them out first so I chose the Nitrous setup. I will eventually have FMS redo my shortblock for boost and save FMS the headache of building a custom setup by purchasing a nice already made single turbo setup. I am not going as big as you because I doubt a GT55 will fit in a C5. It will most likely be a T88.

if you go that route, might as well go gt47 as it is an 88 mm turbo too, however im not sure if its the same size dimension wise.

If not, i think a gt42 would work well too.

besides, I have confidence in Allan that they can make anything fit.

Hell, this setup still keeps my powersteering, ac, all functionalities of a daily driver...

first im gonna learn to drive it, and get used to it.

Then im debating whether or not to put a cage in it.

Regardless, i want to take it to the track asap, but not until i feel comfortable handling the power. The last thing i want is to get the car back and slam it into the wall 2 weeks after i get it back.

But im hoping for low 11's/high 10's with heavy traction issues and trapping 135 or so on pump gas...

You'll be fine at the track. Whether you launch real good or not, your mph will be pretty accurate as long as you stay in it. You will not need a cage for your first pass or two.

ya, my track is strict though, if you run faster then 11.49 they will kick your *** out.

So i only plan on getting a run or two in before i get booted. Im just curious as to what I will trap.

Dont get me wrong. No one has more confidence than I on FMS abilities. I know he can do it. The project would be very time consuming and I dont know if I could have my car down that long. Hell I would go with a custom hood or lose my AC to get a GT55

The HP tuners uses a 3-bar MAP sensor with a different operating system in the PCM. Rather easy on the tuning, just like DFI's

Alan,I know you have been dying for some dyno numbers. Lets just hope the dual disc holds the higher boost in 4th

Man, every night recently i have been dreaming of my car

Im assuming you ordered the clutch today, or will be.

I thought i heard mcleod clutches were rated to over 1200 hp or so.

Im extremely anxious to see what the final dyno numbers will be on low, medium and high boost.

I also decided that Im gonna prob wait on the cage until i get it back and drive it for a bit. I just cant wait any longer and will prob have someone do it down here.

Im still curious as to what the "surprise" is that you told me a while back.

The 4th gear peak numbers shouldn't be too different from the 3rd gear numbers, but it will build boost earlier because of the extra load on the engine. So I wouldn't expect to see the 120hp difference carried throughout the powerband. Very nice initial numbers though, there should be more left in the tune!

Ya, that would not be realistic, however I believe it is realistic from the combonation of 3rd gear pull and final tuning we should net close to 20-30 rwhp or so.
