Default Can I drive without tune?

I'm putting a ton of stuff on my car. I wanted to know how long or far I could go with it all installed before I get a tune. I'm installing stuff in southern california over thanksgiving and may not be able to get a tune until i get back up to school 400 miles away. Is this something that I can do, a 400 mile freeway drive with all of this installed without killing my car?

Powerdyne Ls1 kit
42# injectors
Walbro 255 fuel pump in sending unit
SLP 160 thermostat
TCI 3500 stall 2.5 str torque converter
Pacesetter coated LT's w/02 extensions
TSP Catted Y pipe
3.73 gears

I have a HPP3 if that would help at all for the meantime.

Don't do it. The larger injectors will make you run really rich.

You could leave the stock injectors in and drive it with your foot out of boost.

as long as you dont get into boost you wont risk blowing up the motor from detonation.

hpp3 will be fine to change gear ratio for the drive.

i dont know if the hpp3 can compensate for bigger injectors, if not you need to leave those off the car until you tune, or you will wash the cylinders, ruin the cats, car will barely run, etc....

Don't do the injectors YET. have the tuning shop put them in, or you can put them in when you get there. They will make you run really rich, so leave them out for now and go easy on the throttle on the way to the tune shop. Stay out of boost.

We have people drive from other states to our shop to get a tune, without any problems. As has been mentioned, don't install the larger fuel injectors until you get to the shop that is going to do the tuning. As long as you drive part throttle, you won't have any problems. Do NOT got wide open throttle, even if it is just for a second!!!

You could use your HPP3 to change the gear ratio for the drive there. Don't install the performance tune part of it, as you don't need it running any leaner. Bob
