Default Wtf Is Wrong!?!?!?!?!

ok so i dynoed my truck today, (its a 95 s10 with a 00 ls1 motor and a t67 sts kit.) and it put down a really really shitty number. it hit 389 ft lbs fo torque and 343 hp......on 8 lbs. i didnt get the tune from sts, i had another shop tune it.

i dont know what to do. any suggestions?

How was your A/f? Do you have any baseline dyno's? What transmission are you running your setup through? Need some more information.

t56 and a/f is at 12 flat.

no base line but ihave one at 6 lbs and that 337 tq and 292 hp

Is the truck building boost on the dyno? Where are you reading the boost from (reference point)? I would really doubt the tune could be that far off! What are running to cool down iat's at that boost level?

awww bro i told you its the tune! i new you didnt have 500 hp his truck is fast though . he should have 500 at least!!hes my good buddy he also has a 9 inch soo its robbing a little hp! he doesnt have an intercooler

that's low to, bone stock with lid and k&n mine was 327hp 337tk.
8lbs Im making 572rwhp.....
??????????tune?????????
I cant remember for sure, but I saw a sts in a stock ss make over 400 @ 5lbs
on a dynojet.

im no ones good buddy!! lol. but yes, i am your friend. good buddy is trucker term for someone who, "returns the favor." lol.

but what the hjell should i do. should i get it re tuned? its for sure making 8 lbs. my hks evc 5 reads the intake pressure and its at 8 lbs. im wondering if i should order a tuned comp from nelson performance. and have it tuned for 8 lbs. and jsut hook it up to a wide band and make sure that its ok a/f wise. but i am heated. i was really looking foerward to around 450 with n o intercoller.

it was on 110 as well.

well what about plugs? and gap? does the car fall on its face up top? the first time a slapped a blower on my mustang i forgot to change the plugs and the gap and it "blew the spark out" immediately...

that could cause a problem...

i am thinkin u should probobly have tr6's at like .035 or so...

kinda. not too bad though. my shift point is 6000 and at about 5500 its making full power. for 500 its not doing ****. also. the plugs are fine.

knock retard

No intercooler on 8lbs? why are you running 110 octane? what plugs and gap? What fuel pump, what injectors, what's the psi. what's your timing set at? do you have a graph you can post?

we need more info,you "shouldnt" need any sort of intercooling on only 8#s so long as the tune is good.you should be able to run on 93 octane.seeing a dyno sheet would help alot as well as all the specs.if the A/F was at 12:1 it might be a tad lean but i dont think itd knock THAT bad.post up a graph,if u cant then email someone who can.

i can tell you i guess he has a supra fuel pump in his gas tank .. i didnt hear his car detonating but it felt a little laggy at the top of his gears..i know he needs to slap a y band on his truck and have it actually profesioaly dyno tuned would be his best bet... maybe in LA

as in toyota supra?why the hell does he have a fuel pump from a supra,and if i were him id get it to a someone who can really tune for FI otherwise his motors going bye bye cause something obviously wrong.

a fuel pump from a supra can out feed a stock ls1 pump. the guy who tuned my truck knows how to tune fi cars. jut he has never tuned an ls1. he has a 900 hp supra running 2.5 bar.

i just dont think he can do ls1s that well yet. i know he has the smarts and i know he can learn but its a matter of time and trial and error.

i was gonna ask if anyone here knows any professional shops around ca that can tune ls1s good? or my other option was to get the nelson performance tuned computer from sts. i eman tahts what they are hitting the 516 rwhp on. does anyone know if those tunes are good?

Does the dyno graph get really jittery at higher rpms? If you have stock valve springs they will float really early under boost. My stock gto valvesprings lost control at under 5k rpm.

I have a 9" with only a 60 trim and am putting down 506RWHP. I have a few other things too but he should see high 400's at least.

something is gotta be wrong........8# and not even breaking 400rwhp. if its a stock motor and stock valvetrain he should be at least 450+
