Re: LS1M Production Kit #1 arrived today.
full street trim exept for rear slicks, full interior ac/stereo etc.
600 rwhp, pump gas, somewhere around 15psi on the small turbo
10 second pass and 130mph trap with the above is my goal for my daily driver
the install will begin soon as the weather clears and i have instructions to follow. but the tuning will go on for the better part of the spring i imagine building up the boost as i go.
i will probably have to swap the 42# injectors out for larger before its all done..
then if i get bored with that, there is always the big turbo and race gas.

did you dyno the motor NA?
I am curious as to the power output of a HCI 8.75:1 comp car
thanks,
Chris

Re: LS1M Production Kit #1 arrived today.
yes i did
i dynoed it with longtube headers, random tech cat back, no cats, ls6 intake 85mm maf, ported tb, 30* timing, no knock through that driveshaft and 12 bolt with the 3.73 gear.. oh and a lid with no filter
did 301 rear wheel standard correction (sae?) on the same dyno that a bone stock ls1 dyno's around 300 rear wheel on. and i ran a 13.1 at 108 like that as well on a 2.0 60'
..so im basically looking to double my output.. hence the 15psi
in all fairness though if i spent any time at all to try to tune it to run n/a im sure i cold have pulled another 20 horse out of the computer and with a hotter spark plug than tr6

it will spin first from a roll with street tires but wont chirp second if you just stab the gas.. its pretty darn sluggish, but thats about to change. install starts tomorrow afternoon

Re: LS1M Production Kit #1 arrived today.
MIGHTYMOUSE, did you get my email? Let me know what you want for the turbo. If the price is right the damage won't be a big deal. Hows the install coming with the kit?

I notice that cam has a good idling 115 lsa but the durations are up there. Does that thing drive well or is it one that you have to learn? Lifts are relatively low so I assume that it doesn't have a lot of valvetrain chatter, or does it?

from what i understand, eventually all of the discharge side will be silicone, not just that one red tube, it will shave some weight, simplify installation and look coooool
fuel system pics are on my sig page
-8 fuel pressure line, speed inc regulator, rails and filter, -6 return line, twin gss340 walbro in tank pumps green top 42# svo injectors if they hold. switch to those 55's if not.
