Default wastegates internal or ex?

what are the advantages/disadvantages of each? if i get a turbo what would you all reccomend for a daily driver?

Internal and external wastgates to the exact same thing, they allow the exhaust gas to by pass the exhaust turbine, so the turbo doesn't spin any faster.

I have never seen an internal wastgate on anything but little turbos. I wouldn't want a small wastgate on a v8, you probably end up with allot of overboosting. Go with an external setup.
