Need help! Which turbo system to buy for emissions compatability? I am stuck in a tough situation. I am in NJ which from my understanding is the next closest state to CA as far as being tough on emissions and inspection since most NJ inspection stations are now privately ran. I am having an engine manufacturer build me a low compression engine to withstand a lot of boost, but the problem isn't the engine. Its the turbo. I would like to buy a PTK system, but i have been told that it wouldn't pass visual inspection even if it did pass the sniffer test. And to my knowlede, i know of no other systems that would pass NJ inspection other than the STS rear mount. I was just wondering if any of you had some ideas about what i can do for a turbo system? Otherwise its just going to be the STS with a 76 GTS turbo. I have faith in the STS, but little faith in the spooling. Thanks for the help.

We are? I think your thinking of the old inspection process, they changed to OBD2 now.....They just plug you in and let you go from what I understand....Go into the Eastern section and ask, they'll have more info for you.....A frined of mine just took his car to get inspected....tinted windows, true duals dumped before the axle, TR224 cam, LT headers, no cats (but he did have the shell wrapped around the pipe), etc and he passed....I think he had to give a little extra money to overlook the tinted windows
