used supercharger?
You can save $1,000.oo or beter on a used supercharger spend afew $100.oo and have it overhauled. Roots and screw types dont tend to wear much at all, centrifugul may show wear on the gearing internaly (mostly due to the very high rpm at which they spin) But a maintained SC is good for 100K miles without problem.
1. Who are you buying it from. Why are they selling it, what condition is it in and has it been well maintained, i.e. proper oil changes, etc.
2. Is the kit complete? Is it being removed professionally or by the same person that installed it in the first place? This was a big concern for me. These kits are made up of many small little crucial parts that can often get over looked and left on the original car. You'd get the kit and find yourself running to the hardware store constantly or worse having to either fabricate something or placing an order with ATI / Vortech for a spare part.
Again I really can't complain that my headunit needed a rebuild. I don't want to discourage you.. It's probably rare that they'd have any issues.. I was just lucky I guess.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
