Blower belt broke need info on replacement. Hey all
I broke my belt for my 8 psi tuner kit from ATI. Does anyone know of a replacment belt that will work and will achieve 8psi? I went around to pep boys and track auto but they do not carry gates belts. Also what are the sizes on the actual belt? I have a D1SC system with injectors and pump.

Re: Blower belt broke need info on replacement. My tuner kit came w/ a 4.00" pulley and the belt is a gates micro-v K060380. I'm guessing it's a 38" belt.
edit-- my kit only makes 5#, most guys making 8# seem to have a 3.6" pulley. So that might be too big.

Re: Blower belt broke need info on replacement. Since I bought the Goodyear Gatorback Quiet Belt that has that no-slip groove, I've been rather pleased with the belt. It slips the least of any I have tried, and seems to hold up well. Yes... they cost a little more. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> I got it from Autozone only, but they had to order it. (Took a day.)
Take your belt and compare it to sizes ranging from 34 to 36 or 38 inches or so, if you don't already know it's size. (Compare the circumference to any belt they have in house. I changed back and forth so much and the available size was always a half inch off here or there.) But, an example number might be:
6PK0915
4060360
where the 360 part is 36.0"
XXXX365 would be 36.5".
The other 6 syas it is 6-rib and the other numbers have something to do with rib spacing, maybe?
Do your self a favor and get the Gatorback. It's about $15 bucks. I've seen it ont he net for about $13, but who wants to wait a week for a belt you will pay shipping on anyway?
Also, don't tighten the heck out of the belt the first time you put it on. Give a a good firm tightening, run it a day and then take the remaining slack out. I have broken a belt quickly by trying to get max boost as soon as I put it on by tightening it too much immediately after installation.
