how much boost

how much boost guys i looked at the head/cam thing it looks like its tough job to do. so i am just going to put a supercharger. how much boost should i put with out changing anything on the car. if i wanted to put some bolt on up grades like TB and an intake mainf. or should i just get a supercharger.

Re: how much boost 6-9 psi is is what I would shoot for...
I'd probably get a ported throttle body if I was also doing a blower, and an LS6 intake... Depends on how far you want to.
