No No No Impact gun! Get yourself a belt or strap wrench from sears or other and hold the pulley while loosening it by hand. It will require some strength but is well worth the effort. The impact gun will do nothing good for the step up trans gears, and may damage the unit. This is precisely why ATI voids the warranty when pulley changes are done outside the factory. Leave the impact gun for the lug nuts.

Actually, I used an impact for mine...on ATI's advice. BTW, ATI only voids warranty because they assume you've changed the boost levels beyond the maximum (for warrantuy purposes) of 8lbs.

I've had the MMS pulley sitting on my desk since late Jan. or early Feb. and have just gotten around to putting it on. I have stage 1 CNC heads and a mild comp cam with MAC mid-lengths (+cats). I did get a chance to drive the car a little today but didn't find a safe spot to try a good WOT blast. I am making more boost earlier with this setup but I don't know what my max. boost @6700 RPM's will be (I hope I didn't over do it). Also, I have the P1SC and I see you have a D1SC so you should see more boost with the same pulley setup. BTW, I am using a 40.8" belt and it just fits.

Using an old belt looped around the pulley and doubled back, I tap on a socket wrench to loosen the bolt. Unscrew the bolt.
I spent less than $20 bucks for a puller like this:

Takes about about a minute or two to screw the pulley off.
To put the different pulley on, I heat it in the oven for about 5 minutes. With the shaft key in it's slot, I pick up the pulley with pliers and drop it on the shaft. One tap of the hammer and it is in place.
I put Red Loctite on the bolt threads and tighten it back down. Using an old belt looped around the pulley and doubled back, I tap on the socket wrench to tighten the bolt some more, and I'm done!
