Damn, even my sig got stolen.

Yeah, I go to the Speed, Style, and Performance meets, the SFFBA Miami meets (well, whenever they're up and running), and the Tower Shops.

That's funny... I started going two months ago... The Crow told me about it... Fun times and cool, good people.

Before? Well, three years ago I drove a Civic. No Stang here...

If you go, then there will be two badass LS1 'verts... No one will want to look at any other cars.

With a 408, you could have quite a monster if you go SC or turbo on pump gas...

yeah, that would be sweet... the main guys have vettes at SSP and there are tons of GTO's, one SSR, my buddy frankie with his expedition, and a few others. One trans am, joel on zo6 wheels...

anyways, hell yeah!! Im think of going procharger so i can keep my headers, alittle easier on the tires and just looks nice... but not sure if the d1-sc will be sufficient with the 408ci.

Have read that I may need a f1 or a f1r/f1c. Anyone got any insight? Forget turbos here for a sec, will the d1-sc be ok in front of the 408?

My power goals are with a 4l80e to have a powerband to 6500rpm or so, make over 750rwhp to 800rwhp, hopefully in the 900rwhp to 1000rwhp on pump gas. the first figure would probably be more attainable with the pump gas.

So, i haven't done the cr yet with the new boost ready pistons, but i figure a cr of 8.5 or 8.1 should yield a safe enough squeeze to stuff 15psi or more through the 90mm fast tb.

Bboyferal, let me know when your headed to the towers, i'll try and meet up in the DD!!

Will do.

BTW, a D-1 can put out quite a bit... Few people REALLY DO max that unit out.

An F1 is what you want. The D-1SC is good to 62,000 rpm, we spun one to 65,000 rpm on a 6.0L with forged internals and stock heads, and saw 15 psi. This was with a big cam with a 115 LSA. Bob

Some guys find fault because they got bad advice when they bought. ATI isnt much help. Prochargers either a RADIAL or a HELIXED impeller. I had an F1-R . It came on like a 300# hit of NOS because it has a HELIXED impeller. I went to an F1-C.The RADIAL impeller makes more low & mid range power. This is no small deal.ATI now uses a 5.0 step-up ratio on F series blowers which spools up slower than the 5.63 they once used. I got a 5.4 on the F1-C but your dealer must make a special request. It is a reliability issue for ATI.The step up ratio is a big deal on a st. car.A P1SC & a P1SC-1 have different impellers. The step up ratio & type of impeller make a huge difference in perf. The F1-R was a great race blower but the F1-C is much more fun to drive. The car is an O2' Vette ,C5-R 427 block,ET 265cc runner heads, etc. After changing blowers I went back to a 3.15 gear from the 3.42 I used with the F1-R. I dont know which is better- Blowers or Turbo's- but you have to compare apples to apples. ONE LAST THOUGHT--how come most of those Turbo Kit outfits dont last long? If you need help are they going to be around? Granatelli will fab one for you & they have been around FOR years.

I am planning on going procharger in the next 2 years, most likely on the stock motor with all supporting mods so 500-550whp. I have had 2 dsm's and one i had ready for full race so im sick of the whoosh whoosh turbo crap. I want some whiiiiiine. I love the all motor punch and instant power, thats one of the greatest things since ive switched over to ls1's and i want to keep that with the procharger. No spooling here!

No spooling? Since when do Prochargers make their boost without spooling first?

When did a Procharger EVER make full boost before a turbo on an LS1?

Punch it and you got boost, may not be full boost but I understand how they make a linear progression until redline. With the turbo you got the "ok i just hit the gas its gonna spool any second now", now the spooling on a 300+ ci is obviously going to be far superior and faster then a large turbod import unless you have some monster turbo. Ive had 4 turbo cars and have gone through 3 turbo swaps between them as well so its just getting kinda old. I want a charger.
