Default How much boost can this engine handle

Buying a 383 stroker lt1 shortblock. How much boost can this engine handle also could I use nitrous on this set-up - no more then a 75 shot and does the cam seem aggressive over the hot cam
JE pistons Extreme duty 3.75" stroke, 6.0" rod, -28 degree inverted dome 9.0-1 compression
6.0" Eagle H-beam rods w/ L-19 bolts
Eagle 4340 forged crankshaft 3.75" stroke internal balance 1-piece rear main
complete rotating assembly balanced
Comp cams custom turbo cam .544/.544 230/230 115

I'm no expert, but I would guess a shitload. Forged, go for it.

The stock block might have some core shift issues above 1000rwhp but other then that hit er' hard it should be good for it. Keep the heads down and have fun, remember good fuel.

is it a 2 bolt or a 4 bolt block? if its a 2 bolt block is it splayed? If it is see sig i havent had any issues. #s of boost depends on how big of a blower/turbo you are running 20#s from a t67 isnt the same as 20#s from T88

Thanks everyone. I'm just looking for this shortblock to handle around 600rwhp and same amount of torque. I have a t-67 turbo also. I'm not sure on the 2 bolt. I will need to check that out - Mike

That cam is going to make more power than a hot com. Drivabilty and idle won't be much differnt.

if its a 4 bolt main no problem if its a 2 bolt main and hasnt been splayed i wouldnt even think about pushing 600 hp
