Yep about 2 inches higher, I'm still trying to keep the air filter where I had it so I couldn't move it up too high. I also wanted to keep the DP in about the same location so all I had to do was lengthen it with 3.0in SS that I have laying around in the garage.

I was just talking to my Dad and told him how I wanted to do another set up this spring...he was like F#$K that!!

So far I've been working on it about 4.5hrs a day so i've got 13-14hrs in it so far. 80% of that time was cutting up the old crossover pipe, knocking off the hi temp coating with a wire wheel(its all I got, sand blaster is on order ) and cleaning up the cuts with a grinder...damn chop saws make a mess of these pipes

My dad came up with a good jig to place the turbo up in the engine compartment, man it made a big part of this project go by real easy save a whole lot of time there.

Reading all this makes me want to drag the Tig welder, 6.0L manifolds, and bends back out and start fabbing up a kit again. I sold my turbo project roller, but kept all the turbo materials. Ended up gettin my current 98 Z28 with a solid roller 408. More of a nitrous combo. 58cc LS6 heads dont do well with boost. The pistons are -14cc. 11.4:1 with the 58cc heads and .040 head gasket. 9.6:1 with 72cc heads and a .051 head gasket. Hummm...

Smokin, where are you running the downpipe at? Any Idea what the Manifold set up is costing you right now minus the Turbo and the Intercooler? Or is jut to painful to fathom so you prefer not to discuss it ?
