I'm probably going to work over my own 4L80E
4L80E input shaft left.. TH400 right....
Alot bigger....
There is a VASCO billet shaft available.. I'd just like to have power capacity of the stock one in my head to compare to the upgrade..

You DO want to swap in a TH400 direct drum and sprag into the 4L80E...
Use nothing but Kolene steels...
Also get the torrington kit..
I might get straight cut low gear planetaries... I'm still mulling alot over..
As I get things figured out I might do my own 4l80E build up write up.. I'll also be doing a DANA 300 gear drive case build up.. Chev adapter, upgraded shafts and 4-1 low range but probably just put that on 4x4 forums..

actually the ARE motor was in excellent shape when i took it out looked brand new and had everything it was supposed to just i didnt like nitrous so haha i told marco it would eventually happen and now it is few spots of rust underneath it but nothing bad the car is going to be a terror when done and yeah the car has been through alot i got it had it for a while blew up the 6 spd and sold it and i bought it back a year and a half ago then i blew up the rear so i put damians 8.8 in and a bunch of susp stuff then the tranyn nuked again so i said screw it turbo time

Get a good transcooler... A Setrab or a long mfg'd one.. Look like a Nascar oil cooler... BTW I run that type of oil cooler too...
Stay tuned as I also try to figure out how to add oil squirters to a LSX to cool the back side of the pistons..

Basically a two end tank bar and plate system instead of the copper tube style...

? You could try some of the LS1 engine swap headers...
My rig is different but I'm starting with a set of mids and changing angles on them as needed... Faster than starting from scratch...
I'm pretty sure that cooler was made by long....
