Default gains witrh racegas?

I have always run 93/meth and wondered how much power i might gain by running really high octane racegas?
Any speculation? I am not going to turn up the boost anymore...just add timing.
right now i am running around 17psi with the Incons and around 15-18 timing

I thought u needed different O2's for race gas, like C16 for example cause its leaded. But other than that with C16 you could up the boost and the timing with no knock more than likely. Are your turbo's maxed out or do they still have some left in them?

Probably not going to pick up anything crazy...I run 19-20 degrees max timing with straight c16. You're only a few off that with the pump/meth combo.

I always feel more boost is safer than more timing once you get it running good. Only time i bump my timing is when i'm running 110+ gas, because it burns a lot slower.

Apples to oranges, but I was running 21 degrees, 17-21psi, with C16.

Actually it doesn't.

It is much more resistant to pre-ignition and detonation (which is why you can run more boost/compression/timing) , but the burn rate for most gasolines is very similar.

with meth and 92 i am limited to about 16psi and 15deg on my current set up. with meth still on and 114 octane i have ran as much as 22psi with no knock. i could probably go higher with the boost but thats about the limit for my turbo.

Well, on 113 my car was a dog and actually lost 6 mph with no change other than gas. Even felt sluggish off boost and spooling up, added 8 degrees across the board and the car really came to life.

I also tend to run 100LL a lot and have to bump my timing 2-3 on it to get it to run as well at the same boost level compared to 100 unleaded or 91+meth. With 100 unleaded i'll bump my timing and extra 2 degrees compared to 91 and run some 3 more psi, with 100LL i bump the timing 5 degrees and run 3 more psi. I normally run 100LL for playing around since 100 unleaded is $4.50/gal and 100LL is $2.69/gal

Just posting my observations. To me the needed increase of timing to get back to the same power level seems to be due to a slower burn rate.

Either way I prefer to make minimum timing changes needed and just turn up the boost instead.
