which makes more power?
which FI setup will make more power:
Livernois turbo with upgraded headunit (76mm)
OR
Procharger F1R?
Let's assume the cost exactly the same, which is gonna lay down more power to the wheels and which is better for a daily driver?

A DD is not going to be ideal for MAXIMUM power. But there again MAXIMUM power is also not ideal as a DD.
A turbo system has the ability to always produce more power, this is because there is less loss with an exhaust gas driven turbine than wilth a belt driven one.
If you are wanting a good setup, maybe clarifiy the use/application and the cost. This will then dictate what is possible and appropriate.

I'd go with a turbo that way you can turn it down when just riding around. This means less stress on the motor. If you run a F1 its gonna be making that power ALL the time and putting a lot more stress on the motor since you cant just turn a *** to get the power you want.
Yes I agree, the modern ECU controlled turbo setups are very capable. And can be easily controlled. However, most poeple will probably leave it on the high setting and I know several people who just couldn't resist the temptation in turing up the boost a little bit more, then just a tad more and then BANG!
Ultimatley a turbo setup should produce the most power. But for a street car power delivery is in many ways more important.
Also a turbo setup will eaily cost more in time, money and R&D.
IMO I'd always go for a postive displacement supercharger. They can easily produce enough power to blow the engine up and cause the need for upgraded drivetrain components.
So if you are after a fast drivable street setup I really don't think you can go wrong with a PD blower.
But for some there is the exotic allure of turbochargers. Which is why they will defend them until death claiming there are the best at every thing, including making toast and pinting the house.
Best bet is to keep an open mind and research, and see which setup offers the BEST, realistically the BEST benefits for your requirements.

I'm trying to get the short box into the low 4,000# range..... Fiberglass fenders, bed sides and alot of weight reduction.. The IFS will have aluminum ford 8.8 pumpkin from IRS with IFS gears in it. I was thinking of a 203/205 double low tcase but it would weight 240#... So I'll use a modified Dana 300.....
I should be able to get close in weight...

id go Turbo.No parasitic hp loss from crank.Change boost with a **** and have different boost settings.Much better daily driver,low boost for cruising around town,high boost to try and pull your 11sec time slip.Ull need the torque from a turbo to get that big truck moving too.
