i have to vote for textralia. They test their clutches at like 700 rwhp and have superb customer support. I would recommend them to you based on customer service alone.

Umm; the Textralia OZ700 is getting a bit lame these days (Internally)....Still better than most if not all out there! Today we just ran one up one the test dyno here in Australia, the new "large twin plate" is consistently slamming around 1,500lb's of torque with zero problems, we’ll have it in a few big boy toys for general drivability testing prior to release expected around mid March... AIM....It’s still a daily driven street clutch too… Welcome to 2006… It’s really all we can do with 1950’s mentality by design. lol

I use a Spec 3F. Also you can call spec and they will make you anything you need.

yeah ive heard from a few guys that Textrailia wasnt holding what they said they would.i loved my spec 3 and was told that the spec 5 would do the job, with a lil squeaking when engaged, but itll take the abuse.

T88+t56 = HAHAHAHA! Clutch problems, tranny problems, crappy times, dyno queen, etc.

T88+th400 = HOLY CRAP!!!

I tried the t56 route and now that I have a th400 there is no looking back. I'll most likely be adding an over drive unit in a few months. Avoid spec like the plague, junk product.

I think Zombie's car just hated being a T56 car...

or it was the driver mod

I have been running a Spec 4i with good results.

Well I have a plan for the T56...I"m replacing EVERYTHING in it with brand new parts pretty much...I'm upgrading to the 30 spline mainshaft, mikronited gears, carbon fiber synchros....The works...It should be able to handle the power...Why bad times?? I've seen plenty of people getting into the 9's with a 6 speed...it's just a little prep work...You won't be able to take a stock th400 and put 1000rwhp on it either...The only thing that I haven't totally worked out is the clutch...I have a good idea where I'm going but just trying to get personal experiences with specific clutches...

I couldnt have asked for more out of my Spec clutch. After 40,000 miles of burnouts,Nitrous lauches, Nitrous pulls its been a champ.Ive heard the spec 5 will hold the power, with a bit of sqeaking when engaged, but itll take the power. My feeling on Spec clutches is its all about the driver.I know people whove beat the **** out of them with no problem and others who hardly had any miles on it and were already complaining of it slipping.
ttt for websites or companies that can get them cheap. And if you guys could give me some input on the diff between the Spec 5 and Spec 3+ that'd be great too.Nick

ditto...i know theres lots of spec haters, but ive only had good luck with them, started with stage 2, upgraded to 3 with the lastmotor, and now im running the stage 5, havnt driven it yet but the pedal feels identical stiffness as the stage 3, so it should be somewhat streetable, ive heard the key to keeping it from slipping though is to not try and slip it onteh street, just go ahead and let it grab, even if it means an uncomfortable drive and chirping tires...btw mine have been behind an lt1 if it makes a difference
