Tell your friend he can buy the two piece converter and Marty can sell him different stators and replacement seals. If he doesn't install the stator upside down I'm pretty sure he could do it himself. He could also take it somewhere and they could do it for him too.

10.90 at 130 mph with a 1.7 short time wasn't too bad for only using 68% throttle. That was my first and only time I took the car to the track. I just have to put my foot to the floor. I'm not worried about it. I know that it'll run 9s. That's not too bad for a street car. It's nice to take my car on the highway and set the cruise control at 80 mph while driving to a car show 35 miles away. I also use pump gas... 93 octane for the street and 100 octane for the track. Full interior, full weight (probably much heavier than it was when it was stock), a/c, sub, amp, cruise control, spare tire, the battery is still up front, and no cage either. I must admit that I am a little worried about taking that car down the track without having a cage. I saw a pretty scary crash this year and it has made me think twice about running the car again. Call me a *****. But I'd rather be an alive ***** than a dead "tough guy". So you think that you would have beaten my car, huh? That's great... good for you. Does that make you feel more like a man? I'm sure that there are a lot of cars out there that are faster than my car. But I am not going to sell my " old" set up, build a turbo system for it, and turn my car into an Outlaw car. Good luck with that by the way. Have fun driving that on the street.

Mitch

The funny thing is, that my car is completely safe on the highway, and with my 3.50 gear, I can cruise at 80 mph too. I also can cruise with 93 pump gas.

Oh, and if your definition of Outlaw includes a car that can cruise at 80mph, has a radio, has a 3.50 gear out back, and can do 35 miles at a stretch, AND can run high 8's or better.... that will be me in 2006.

I'll be sure and have my other new car run faster than you, on drag radials, with less power than you... with a/c.

Oh... I'm sure it's a comfortable ride too. Can you take your wife and kid for ice cream on a 90 degree day? I'm sure those racing seats are really comfortable. Where would you put your kid anyway with no back seat? In the trunk? I'm sure she'd love going for a cruise with no a/c. My car is a street car... not a race car. My car was built with the intention to be driven on the street. I'll take it to the track every so often. If I wanted to build a race car, I build one.

So you are going to have another new car that will be faster than me, on drag radials, with less power than me... with a/c, huh? That's fantastic. Good for you. Hey... let me let you in on a little secret. Shhhh... don't tell anyone, but... there is always going to be someone that has a faster car that you.

Good luck building that Outlaw car. It'll be ready in March of 2006, huh?

Do you think any of his 25,907 posts (on this board alone) were worth reading anyway???

Loose 9" over here in the Supra. Drives around just fine....I assume that's the reason you're asking right?

Cool thx Marko...

I'm sure that when you ran it Mitch you had the car floored, and now it's 68%... what will it be in a year, half throttle or you shut it off at the 330 and coasted the rest of the way? I'm kinda proud of going 5.999 in the 1/8th with the ol' blower.

Nope... the FAST data log said 68%. Ask Dan Bills... he asked me, "Hey... you wanna try putting your foot to the floor?" Too bad I don't have the log saved. I could e-mail it to you. Check any of my posts about my track experience and I have always stated 68%. Unlike a lot of people, I ALWAYS tell the TRUTH. I'm happy with my car... I won't be making radical changes just because someone has a faster car than me. As far as I am concerned... 770 rwhp is more than enough.

I truthfully went 9.4@143 with 680rwhp, that's what I dynoed at Speed inc. a week before.

Not my fault you don't run enuff car to make the car feel safe, next time you can borrow a set of tires from me and try to run 14_mph. It's pretty cool.
