How much smoke is normal

Default How much smoke is normal

Everytime I get on it my car smokes after then it goes away, I read from a few guys here that also have the same thing happpening. How much is normal, and is there a way to tell if its harmful versus normal "smoke"?

Is it right after you let off? If so I have the same problem. It seems the general consensus is that it's blow by. I thought it was a combination of blow by and too much oil pressure/poor return line in my setup. I'm gonna stick some vents on the engine and see if that helps. If not going to get an oil restricter deally and if that doesn't who knows cause I don't wanna drill a new return.

What year is your car?

Before 2002, GM used lower tension oil rings, so blowby is much more prone to happen.

My 2000 TA blow smoke like I was playing SpyHunter.

My 2003 Z06 doesn't blow any smoke.

I have a restrictor on the feed side and a pump on the other, maybe its a bad tune and its a little rich and blowby.
