LR4U, that's sweet. EPP keeps saying that 500 is the reliable limit on a stock bottom end (pistons). I don't doubt Bob, but some are going above that. Stay tuned and stay tight. GL I'm hoping for 650 @ 10 psi on pump gas with the 383 and T76 STS this summer. But there ain't nothing like the pleasure of dynamite proven numbers! Betcha you and Billy are tickled to death with the results! You are both to be cangratulated! <hi-five> Track time, track time!

All... thanks for all the kind words... I appreicate Billy's help on this as well. I will be getting a good tracktime next week down at SAR. I think I am gonna drop the psi a little (blow-buy) has me concerned a little...

Bob is a smart guy... I am sure that he is close. I belive that 550 is where the safe spot is... we will see I guess.

Anyone have any thoughts on how or why it is that I gained 100 RWHP but almost no TQ at all? What is the TQ vs HP effect on the 1/4 mile time?

my guess would be thats the nature of your cam.

tune may have a bit to do with it as well.

hopefully an engine builder with more know how will chime in.

LR4U, you are still making about the same peak torque because your T60 was good in the peak torque range to begin with. Your hp is up because you have more huff (volume) up high (5000+) with the T67. I noticed your original dyno sheet showed a hp drop off/leveling above 5000. I haven't looked specifically, but I bet your torque curve above 5000 is now flatter, so more hp. Anyway, that's my best guess. GL

OBTW, hp is a calculation of torque delivered over time, so more hp = faster 1/4 as long as you can put it to the pavement. Peak torque isn't the measure of that, area under the torque curve is, and that is expressed by calculating hp. IOW, this torque curve (¯) makes more hp than this one (^). haha. Later!

TeeKay- You are dead on... My HP and TQ curve are allot flatter. I will have my Dyno sheet posted today I hope. Infact I will post my T-60 at 8.5lbs 506HP 634FPTQ vs my T-67 at 11.5lbs 607HP 639FPTQ.

Nice numbers!!!! better hurry up...I am pushing Quicksilverado to get his intercooler in so he can run faster than 11.35 in that truck.
As for the oil...I wonder if the oil pump might not be kicking up like its supposed to under boost and pushing oil out the turbo seals.

Hmmmmm I make GREAT oil pressure (I have the TSP ported LS6 oil pump) under RPM load. I will watch for that when I am in boost though.

Could be that the larger turbo is spooling later there for it is providing preasure more evenly and it is less of a Peak then more of the smoothing of the curve like TeeKay is talking about.

I should have internet in my room today man. I'll shoot you a couple IM's when I get on.

Wow, That's night and day difference. Thanks LR4U, that's exactly what I was looking for. I have always been curious of the hp/tq characteristics of the 67 compared to the 60. That makes me very happy and anxious to upgrade to the 67.

Looks like you got 2-3 degrees of tip in knock when you started the pull.

I always start my pulls from 2500 on the dyno. I've noticed that 2500-2700 produces fastest spool when compared to 2000rpms or 3000 rpms. About a 300-500 rpm difference.

Nice numbers, but your A/F is a little scary, It looks to be around in the low 13's, That is quite a bit lean for a F.I. setup, I would richen it up some, If you need some help let me know....

Moe, The AF on that dyno reads one full point high... (Dyno operator informed me of this). It was tuned for 11.5:1 all the way through at 8.5lbs. So for it to be at Low 12 is not to bad is it?

Low 12 is like a low 13 when you are making passes, might want to make it a wee bit safer.
